Sentir Venezuela is a non-profit organisation that wants to express, promote and encourage interest in Venezuelan customs and traditions in Canada, through Venezuelan folk dance. It was founded on August 6 2014 by Francis Gotopo (Executive Director), Dayris Rodriguez (Finances Director) and Carla Soto (Artistic Director). After many years, Toronto was lacking of a professional Venezuelan dance troop.

The mission of this group is to represent their culture here and become an artistic legacy for the future Venezuelan-Canadian generations. Furthermore, SV wishes to engage the multicultural people of Canada. Sentir Venezuela is made up of 10 talented dancers from different ages and backgrounds (their dance styles vary from Venezuelan, Latin-American and Flamenco Dance, to Classical, Contemporary, Jazz, Belly Dance, among others. They are passionate about dancing and their culture. Sentir Venezuela offers dance workshops and provides cultural and artistic Latin-American performances.
