Diana Contreras Cabanas – She/Her, Mexican artist currently living in Toronto. Her most recent work was showcased on site-specific work for Toronto History Museums as part of its “Awakenings” artist mentorship program on summer 2023. She is influenced by observations of daily life as well as her heritage and symbology. Her work can be classified as contemporary realism, and also covers landscape, abstract and portrait painting. She is on a continuous journey of creative discovery in pursuit of artistic expression. She works with acrylic, oils, mixed media and textures.
