Alexandra is an expressive dancer, poet, and a teacher. She started Peru Flow in 2012 as a way to honour a soul space of retreat in the Andes of Peru. After many travels, she settled in Toronto where she started her career as an elementary teacher and continued to perform. She performed at the Harbourtfront, at Porch View dances, and at independent theatres and galleries in Tkaronto. Her performative work is always inspired in ancestral dancing and earth based connections. After the birth of her son in 2020, Alexandra started the New Madre Wellness (a space for new immigrant Mothers in Tkaronto) This creation honours ancestral foods, Andean traditions, and earth based practices for supporting Mothers during transitional times. She has a degree in Education from the University of Toronto, A combined honours degree in Visual Arts and Spanish Lit, and a Master in Arts from the University of Western Ontario. She has a Health Coaching degree from The Institute of Integrative Nutrition in NY. She incorporates a mix of Earth based Movement, Visual Arts, Nutrition, and Ritual into her Art.
